Best Conservatory Blinds

Choosing blinds to dress your conservatory can be very different from choosing for other rooms in your house. In an area with so much glass, your priorities are likely to include reducing heat gain in summer, keeping the heat in during the winter, and of course privacy. Whether you have a traditional conservatory, a glass-walled extension, or an orangery, we can help advise on the best product to suit you. Here at Unidrape, we understand the importance of style and functionality, and with our knowledge and product range are able to offer you the best solutions without sacrificing either your style, vision or practicality.

Blinds for a Traditional uPVC Conservatory

For a traditional conservatory in uPVC, it is worth considering a no-drill system that is fitted to each windowpane, such as Perfect Fit or Intu. These frame systems enable a tight fit to the glass and make it easier to open windows and doors. Perfect Fit International frames are available for shaped roof windows; and are the best solution for reducing heat gain in the summer months. Pleated systems, in particular, can provide privacy, reduction of solar glare and insulating properties. Our Hive and Duette honeycomb fabrics provide an additional layer of insulation and come in a variety of colour and texture options.

Motorised Roller Blinds

If you have a large wall of glass such as bi-fold or sliding doors, motorised roller blinds can often be the perfect solution. Available with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries if no power source is available, roller blinds can be controlled on a remote handset, or through a home hub from your mobile phone or tablet. With a home hub, you can also programme your blinds on a 7-day timer, and even control your blinds remotely when you are away from your home. With a wide range of fabrics to choose from, motorised roller blinds can suit most property styles.

Roman Blinds

For a softer, warmer look Roman blinds can make a conservatory feel cosy in winter, and give a sophisticated and stylish finish. Using a thermal lining, roman blinds can improve heat insulation and block out any draughts, making the conservatory more usable throughout the year. Roman blinds can be made using the majority of our vast soft furnishing fabric ranges, in a variety of styles, colours and finishes.

Venetian Blinds

Venetian blinds are available in a selection of material finishes; from real wood to faux wood and aluminium. Venetian blinds are fantastic at controlling light and privacy. Fabric ladder tapes can be added to both faux and real wood Venetian blinds to give a softer finish and add an accent colour.
